Megan Shounia

Megan is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant that graduated from Stanbridge University in 2021 with honors. Prior to becoming a COTA she worked as a medical assistant at CHOC Childrens/ Sea view Pediatrics, she has over 10 years experience in pediatrics, (she is still there part time). Working with children will always be a passion of hers in any field of medicine. Being in that fast paced environment she decided she wanted to be more one on one with families and children. Helping families on a more personal level and really getting to know these clients. She has experience working with ASD, Down Syndrome, Global Delay, SPD, Juvenile RA, Alcohol Fetal, CP, picky feeder/eaters, etc. She is patient and kind, always putting families first and understanding different cultures but simultaneously and effectively giving out education to further increase independence.

Megan was born in Michigan but raised here in Orange County California. She loves to cook/bake in her free time. In another life she said “I should have been a culinary chef/teacher.” She recently got married in March 2023 and has a Chi-weenie named Malloy.
