Speech Language Pathology Assistant: Lake Forest location

Isabel Foreman

I received my degree as a speech and language pathologist assistant in 2018 from Orange Coast College. I am bilingual (English and Spanish). Prior to becoming a speech and language pathologist assistant, I was a fully committed PTA parent in the Santa Ana School District for over 6 years. Here, I learned to help raise fundings for students from low-income homes. This is also where I learned to advocate for special educational programs and families who were in need of more services.

I developed my passion to help children build their confidence in communication when my son at an early age was diagnosed with ADHD and was also struggling to communicate his needs. As a parent, I learned to support and guide my son through many tough obstacles. I became an educator to our families and friends in order to create a safe and healthy environment for my son. Soon after, I became interested in the field where I could share my support and companionship with other children with speech and language disorders. I have worked with children of all ages with a variety of needs, including Gestalt Language Processing, articulation disorders, language delay, Autism, stuttering, down syndrome, and have experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). I love to approach therapy with play-based activities, especially for the little ones. My priority is to create a fun and welcoming environment for all of my clients and families when they come to visit me.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband, our son and daughter, and three cats. I love to go out hiking, driving to the beach, and trying out some good food. When spending some “me” time, I also enjoy reading, gardening, and watching spooky movies!
