Speech-Language PathologY Assistant
Emmie earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California Baptist University in December 2019.
Emmie’s speech therapy experience is in the school setting and clinic setting, also providing bilingual services in Spanish. She has experience working with Voice Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Early Intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Articulation Disorders.
While in college, Emmie volunteered at Camp Hope in Quito, Ecuador, providing speech therapy to children who didn’t have parents or adults to advocate for their special services. It was on this trip that her heart grew to see people receive AAC devices and other technology to help in their daily lives. Whether it was partnering with a "special buddy" at church, or nannying over the summer, Emmie has always loved having fun with kids and finding opportunities to help them know their value and voice.
Emmie believes that every person should be seen, heard, and encouraged. Her passion is bringing this hope and encouragement to children and adults in one-one settings where she can truly listen and know whoever she is with.
