Occupational Therapist: Lake Forest location

Camille Bustillo

Camille began working with children after graduating in 2012, providing occupational therapy services in various pediatric settings including non-profit foundations and private-owned outpatient clinics. She spent the early part of her career in pediatrics participating in outreach activities providing free therapy consultations and home programs to children and families in rural areas who have little to no regular access to services. Camille sought further training in the areas of neurodevelopmental treatment and therapeutic handling while volunteering at a private non-governmental organization catering to the specific needs of children with cerebral palsy, where she was then absorbed into its workforce and supervised OT students in rotation. She has since then branched out to provide occupational therapy in private clinics while constantly seeking out continuing education in order to further hone her skills and sharpen her tools.

Having worked both as a volunteer occupational therapist and as a private practitioner, she has experience in evaluating and treating a variety of pediatric cases that range from early intervention through school-aged children with neurological and developmental disorders, movement disorders, genetic disorders, developmental delays, sensory processing difficulties, and behavioral problems. She enjoys utilizing sensory integration and reflex integration strategies in order to help children perform their daily activities, develop important life skills, reach milestones, and ultimately achieve age-appropriate independence. Camille has been using her profession to build from each child's unique strengths and abilities, and closely collaborate with parents into helping their kids meet purposeful goals and attain quality of life.

In her free time, Camille enjoys the sunshine, indulging in tea and coffee, and booking her next spin class!
